We are going on a really exciting field trip on Saturday, October the 6th! This is optional. We’re going to meet in Piedmont Park, which is in downtown Atlanta. We’ll begin by looking at all of the photography on display at the My Atlanta exhibit as part of Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Next we’re going to stroll through the park, admiring the Fall colors, and looking for a good spot to have a picnic. After lunch we’re visiting the Atlanta Botanical Gardens (which is right next to the park). At ABG we’re going to see lots of amazing landscaping, fountains, bridges, and incredible greenhouses. They are also having an exhibit of scarecrows in the garden. We will bring lots of still cameras and video cameras, so you guys should be able to collect great material to use in your projects. We get a special rate of $7 for the Botanical Gardens. Parking can cost as much as $10 downtown, though sometimes you can find street parking. Mr. Souvorin is bringing peanut butter and jelly, but you’re welcome to bring your own lunch or buy lunch. We will meet at 11:00AM. Mr. Souvorin and Ms. Raffalovich will stay at the botanical gardens until at least 2:0o. You can stay as long as you wish. Please fill out this form if you are planning on attending the field trip.
