Students who want to prepare a portfolio for admission to art schools may be interested in this class from the Hudgens Art Center. Here’s their announcement:
0490 Teen Portfolio Development Intensive @ The Hudgens Center for the Arts*
Instructor: Marc Brotherton
When: Saturdays (August 25 – October 13), 8 weeks
Time: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Are you thinking about applying to art school, but worried your portfolio may not be top notch? Spend time sharing your work with an experienced artist and instructor and learn the strengths and weaknesses of your body of work. The instructor will work individually with each student to create projects that would fill any gaps he or she sees are missing in the body of work presented by the student. This class will help you develop a strong, comprehensive portfolio. All supplies are provided. Spaces are limited. Register early! (Note: Classes start the week of August 20, and students should sign up at least 3-4 days ahead of time, to allow the teacher time to prepare for the class.)
