This project is a GREAT way to practice video production and meet people in Atlanta who do video for a living. I encourage students to learn about this and consider entering the competition.
CALLING ALL ATL AREA FILMMAKERS!
The 48 Hour Film Project, the world’s largest film making competition, returns to Atlanta for its 11th amazing, adrenaline fueled year!
In a wild, sleepless weekend, you and a team of your most talented, dedicated friends will create a short movie from scratch—that is: writing, shooting and editing in only 48 hours. On Friday, June 15, you’ll get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. By Sunday, June 17, the movie will be complete.
Then on June 21-24, walk the red carpet, celebrate with your team, and vote for your favorites at the World Premiere Screenings at Atlanta’s classic Plaza Theatre.
To be part of the 48HFP, register online at:
EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: SAVE $20
Registration costs $160 per team, unless you register before Monday, May 21, in which case it’s $140. Space is limited, so register early!

Meet other Atlanta filmmakers, make a movie in just 48 hours, premiere your film at the Plaza Theatre, and compete to represent the ATL against the other 48HFP cities around the world! The top films will screen at the Cannes Film Festival.
This year’s Filmapalooza Finale will take place in Hollywood next March 2013.
Registration opens TODAY–so get ready to Go to From Dream to Screen in 48 Hours!
