Congressional Art Awards

The Congressional Art Awards are an annual art contest for high school students. Each member of the US House of Representatives hosts the contest within his or her district. Phoenix is in the 7th Georgia congressional district, served by congressman Rob Woodall. If any student would like to submit a piece please let Mr. Souvorin know today, so that we can begin the paperwork. Animation and Video Production aren’t categories. The first place piece gets exhibited in Washington, DC for a year, and the student gets a free trip to Washington for the award ceremony. Usually the Art Institute of Atlanta also offers scholarships to the winner.
